J.B. SanGiacomo, a past Middle Atlantic PGA Section Southern Chapter Assistant Professional of the Year, is the PGA head professional at Stumpy Lake Golf Course in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

In this video, J.B. explains why he started offering Blind Bogey events on weekends and holidays at Stumpy Lake Golf Course. J.B. enlists the help of his starters to encourage golfers to sign up for a $1 minimum entry into the events. After the staff sells 100 chances, they draw at random a winner to receive the pot in golf shop credit. J.B. explains that this has provided instant revenue for the golf shop on weekends, typically more than $300, and helps move inventory out the door.
