New Event Logo

Cherokee Town & Country Club was founded in 1956, and we are thrilled to celebrate our 60th anniversary this year. As part of this celebration, we have introduced a new logo to showcase 60 years of our fine club. We worked with Alister MacKenzie, a relatively new men’s apparel company in our golf shop, to create a new logo that’s similar to our oval with the CTCC letters inside, but larger with the words “60th anniversary” around the circle. For our opening men’s event called the Jubilee, we introduced these shirts upstairs during the cocktail hour for the men. In addition, Titlest and FootJoy were also on property, and we also had headwear from Imperial with a “60th anniversary” logo on the back of the hat.

We introduced Alister MacKenzie at our Annual Men’s Member-Guest in October of last year, but now have created new interest in the brand for the spring 2016 season. All of the Alister shirts are cotton with a “wicking windows” treatment that helps the fabric perform in our intense Georgia heat. During the Jubilee event, we did over $1,500 in shirt sales in the hour and a half we had upstairs before the dinner presentation started. In addition, we also sold more than 30 pairs of FootJoy shoes. The new “60th Anniversary” logo certainly piqued interest, and all of these items are now displayed together in the golf shop to spur additional sales. Our staff is sure to share with members, new and old, that we are proud to be carrying special merchandise to celebrate 60 years.
